His dedication has served as an inspiration to other farmers in his community.

Meghnath Aryal and Bishal Thapa were honored as ‘Excellent Farmers’. Aryal raises 35 buffaloes and produces about 100 liters of milk daily, which he sells in the local market. Leaving behind urban life, he has invested millions in livestock and agriculture, becoming a successful example in the sector.

Bishal Thapa raises around 150 goats of various breeds and is pioneering new opportunities in goat farming. He has also been actively providing training and information to fellow farmers.

The recognition was presented by Dron Bahadur Khatri, head of the District Coordination Committee of Gulmi, during a special event. The honorees received cash prizes and certificates for their achievements.

Selection Process

According to Huma Kant Pandey, head of the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Expert Center, applications were invited from across the district. Farmers were selected based on their notable contributions to goat farming, buffalo farming, fodder cultivation, and overall livestock development.

It is believed that this recognition will further motivate youths to engage in agriculture and animal husbandry.
