Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon low pressure line is currently located south of the average location. In addition, there is a flow of water vapor-rich air from the Arabian Sea.

The division currently has generally cloudy weather in the hilly areas of Madhes, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, including the rest of the provinces, and partially cloudy weather in the rest of the provinces. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.

It will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places in the remaining hilly and Terai regions. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, it will remain generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some places in the Far Western Province, a few places in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces including Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, and one or two places in the remaining Terai region.
