Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon low pressure line is currently located in the east of the average position and in the west, south of the average.

According to the division, it is currently partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain in some places in the hilly areas of the country and a few places in the Terai region. There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Similarly, tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces and a few places in the remaining hills and Terai regions. The division has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi province.
