Kathmandu. Thirteen people have died in a Texas city in the US due to flooding. Many have been injured in the flooding. Officials say more than 20 students at a camp are missing. Many events to celebrate Independence Day on July 4 have been canceled. The Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in the span of 45 minutes. Helicopters, nine rescue teams and locals are involved in the rescue operation.
Eyewitnesses said that the tourist area in Care County was completely destroyed. Although the river floods every year, this year’s flood is said to be unusual. There was a large crowd there to celebrate Independence Day on July 4. (Agency)
