Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on a visit to China, met with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. They had a sideline meeting in Tianjin.

Modi has made public a photo of the meeting between the two counterparts through his X.

Modi wrote with the photo – ‘It was a pleasure to meet Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Tianjin. India-Nepal relations are deep and special.’

Oli, who visited China on Saturday, met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday and today held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Trinh in Tianjin, China. The two prime ministers, who have reached China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, discussed various aspects of cultural, diplomatic and economic relations and cooperation between the two countries in the meeting held today, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Recalling Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan’s recent visit to Nepal, Prime Minister Ching invited Prime Minister Oli to visit Vietnam. Prime Minister Oli expressed Nepal’s solidarity with Vietnam’s struggle for independence and said that the progress made by the country in a short period of time is inspiring for all.
