So far, China has obtained more than 40 percent of the total technological rights registered worldwide in new energy, according to Wang Hongzhi, head of the National Energy Administration of China.

At a press conference held in Beijing, he said, “Throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), China has continuously innovated in energy technology and set world records in many areas.”

Leadership in technology conversion and energy storage

China has significantly improved the conversion efficiency of solar energy (the ability to generate electricity from the sun) and developed high-level technology. Similarly, China has also taken the lead in building large-capacity fan systems (turbines) to generate energy from offshore wind.

China is also currently leading the world in the development and implementation of energy storage systems based on new technology.

In addition to technological innovation, China has placed special emphasis on environmental protection and green development. Chinese technology is now being exported and used in many countries around the world, which is making a significant contribution to the construction of a clean energy system.
