Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has taken the initiative to solve the problems seen in the Khokana area of Lalitpur, the entry point under the Kathmandu-Taraira Madhes Expressway Road Project.
He discussed the issue with the concerned ministers and high-ranking officials on Monday afternoon to resolve the problem.
During the discussion held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, the study received so far and suggestions for alternatives to solve the problems seen in Phudol, Khokana, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-21, where the current entry point of the project is located, were discussed.
Since the Khokana area has religious and cultural heritage of the Newar community, options to address it were discussed.
After the discussion, Prime Minister Oli has directed to move the project forward expeditiously by addressing the demands of the local residents without keeping the problem in suspense for a long time.
The discussion was attended by Minister for Physical Transport and Infrastructure Devendra Dahal, Minister for Defense Manvir Rai, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic Development Advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel, and secretaries of both ministries.
