Kathmandu: The Nepali short film ‘Paulo’ (The Shoes) has been nominated for the Smalrig Award in China. Out of 3,791 films from around the world, 98 were selected, and 20 films received nominations. ‘Paulo’ will also be screened at the Smalrig Award, which will be held in Shenzhen City, China, from May 23 to 25.
Before this, the short film ‘Paulo’ was also nominated at the CMS International Children’s Film Festival in India. The film has been selected for several prestigious film festivals, including the Authentic Global Film Award in the USA, the Kino Festival Light of the World in Russia, the Zimbabwe Varsity Film Expo, the Visakhapatnam International Short Film Festival in India, the Lift of Global Network Sessions in the UK, among others. It was also given special screening at the 6th Nepal Cultural International Film Festival (NCIFF).
