Kathmandu. Currently, monsoon winds are affecting the country. The low pressure line of the monsoon is slightly north of the average location.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it is generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring at some places in Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province and at a few places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province.

Monday will be generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province and at a few places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in some places in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

The Division requests the general public and all concerned bodies to adopt necessary precautions and prepare in advance as there is a risk of soil erosion, flooding, landslides and flash floods due to the possible rains, which may cause inundation in urban and Terai areas, and the water level in large and small rivers and streams may rise.
