Kathmandu. There is a possibility of rain in various places in the country today. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that there is a possibility of light to very heavy rain.

According to the department, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country during the afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and in some places in the remaining provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in a few places in Koshi province and heavy rain in one or two places in Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas. There is also a possibility of windstorm in some places in the Terai and Madhes provinces of Koshi province.

The department has said that it will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country at night. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi, Madhes and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places in the remaining provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Madhes and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall and snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

There is also a possibility of windstorm at a few places in Madhes province. Meteorologists have said that there is a possibility of rainfall in many areas of the southern Terai region today.

Currently, the influence of monsoon winds is prevailing across the country. The low pressure line of the monsoon is located around the Sardar place in the west and a little north of the Sardar place in the east.
