Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. The low pressure line of the monsoon is around the mean position.

Due to which, it is currently partially to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain is occurring at a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and at one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.

It will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning at some places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places in the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with snowfall at a few places in the high hills and mountainous areas of the country.

It will remain generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with lightning in some places in the hilly regions of the country including Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

The Division has requested to adopt necessary precautions as there is a risk of soil erosion, floods, landslides and mudslides.
