Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. In addition, the low pressure line of the monsoon is located around the average location in the east and slightly north of the average location in the west.

According to the division, it is currently generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while it is partially cloudy in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces and one or two places in Lumbini Province.

It will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and a few places in the rest of the provinces.
