Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon winds are affecting the country. Currently, the low pressure line of the monsoon is slightly closer to the north of the average location and west of Nepal.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it is currently generally to completely cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is occurring in many places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and in a few places in the remaining provinces.
It will be generally cloudy across the country on Monday. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in many places in the hilly areas of the country including Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province and in some places in the remaining provinces.
There is also a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in a few places in the Sudurpaschim Province and in one or two places in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall and snowfall in a few places in the high-hilly and mountainous areas of the country.
As this may cause disasters such as rising river water levels, flash floods, floods, landslides, and soil erosion, the Division requests that necessary precautions be taken to avoid inconvenience, risk, or damage to public health, agriculture, daily life, and road and air transportation.
