Biratnagar. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa stated that it’s inappropriate to comment on court matters.

Speaking to journalists today at Biratnagar Airport, Thapa said he would not comment on the case filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority against former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, as it now falls within the jurisdiction of the court.

Thapa emphasized that the case against former Prime Minister Nepal should be resolved respectfully.

General Secretary Thapa also stated that the issue of active party membership should be finalized before the upcoming Nepali Congress General Convention, and every leader should renew and settle memberships in their respective constituencies.

Expressing his view that Congress leaders should fulfill their responsibilities on time, Thapa said that every effort is being made for the success of the government. General Secretary Thapa stressed that the government should work as expected to win the trust of the people and that the current work should be reviewed.
