Kathmandu. Meteorologists have forecast heavy rain in the hilly parts of Koshi, Terai and Bagmati today. Stating that the low pressure line of the monsoon is currently located south of the average location, the Hydrology and Meteorology Division has stated that it will be generally cloudy across the country this afternoon.

Similarly, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly parts of Koshi and Madhes provinces including the country tonight and partially cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and some places in the hilly parts of other provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly parts of Koshi, Terai and Bagmati provinces.

The division has forecast that there is a risk of landslides and debris flows due to rain, that the water level in large and small rivers and streams may rise and that the transportation sector may be affected, and has requested everyone to be alert and prepare. (RSS)
