Bhojpur – The unique features of the Mundum Trail, one of the 100 tourist destinations announced by the government, have been captured in paintings by various artists. In an event organized to promote the trail, artists visually represented its special elements through the “Canvas” initiative under the “Temkemaiyung National Art Workshop.”
Held at the tourist site of Chakhewa, the workshop featured 20 national artists who depicted various aspects of the trail, including the red panda (Habre), the Kirati culture-related Tayama Khiama, Chindo (Wabuk), and the traditional attire of the locals.
Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality Chairperson Saroj Basnet stated that the workshop aimed to support the development, promotion, and publicity of the Mundum Trail through visual arts. He also shared the ambition to establish the trail as a center for yoga and meditation.
The paintings created during the three-day workshop will be exhibited in Kathmandu. The workshop concluded on Wednesday under the chief guestship of Naradmuni Hartamchhali, Chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts. It was noted that the initiative would contribute not only to the promotion of the Mundum Trail but also to the preservation of art and culture.
