Kathmandu. The monsoon has become somewhat active in some parts of the country as the influence of water vapor-rich air from the Bay of Bengal has increased. The Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon is currently located around the average location of the low-pressure line.
It will be cloudy across the country this afternoon, but there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the hilly areas of all provinces. In addition, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of Koshi, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Similarly, it will be partly to generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The division has forecast that there is a risk of landslides and debris flows due to rain, water levels may rise in large and small rivers and streams, and the transportation sector may be affected, and has requested everyone to be alert and prepare.
