Kathmandu. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it is currently raining in most parts of the country. Stating that the low pressure line of the monsoon is located around the Sardar place, the department has stated that the influence of monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal has increased.

This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly parts of the country including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partially cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the Terai of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini provinces and the hilly parts of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces. Similarly, it will be generally cloudy across the country tonight. There will be moderate rain in many places in the hilly parts of the country. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as in one or two places in the Terai of Lumbini and Koshi provinces.

The division has urged everyone to be alert and prepare, predicting that there is a risk of landslides and debris flows due to rain, that water levels in large and small rivers and streams may rise, and that the transportation sector may be affected.
