Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon low pressure line is currently located south of the mean position. Due to which the monsoon is weak in Nepal. In addition, the water vapor-rich air from the Bay of Bengal is continuing to enter.

According to the division, the weather is currently generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while the rest of the region is mainly clear to partly cloudy. Moderate rain is occurring in some places in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province and light rain is occurring in a few places in Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali Provinces.

This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and partly cloudy in the rest of the region. There is a possibility of moderate rain in a few places in the hilly areas of the country and one or two places in the Terai region. There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province.

The division has requested people to be alert and keep informed of the latest weather information as there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the Terai and hilly areas of Koshi Province.
