Kathmandu. The monsoon in Nepal is somewhat weak as the low pressure line is located south of the mean position. However, due to the inflow of water vapor-rich air from the Bay of Bengal, it is generally cloudy in the remaining hilly areas including Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces and partially cloudy in the remaining Terai regions.

Light to moderate rain is occurring at a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places in the hilly areas of Lumbini province.

In the afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and partially cloudy in the remaining areas. There is a possibility of moderate rain at a few places in the hilly areas including Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places in the Terai regions.

The night will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain in the Terai and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces including Madhesh and moderate rain in one or two places in the rest of the country.

The Division has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
