Kathmandu. Currently, monsoon winds are affecting the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the low-pressure line of the monsoon is located in the Terai of Nepal to the north of the mean position.

On Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and generally cloudy in the rest of the country. Moderate rain is occurring in one or two places in Madhesh province and in a few places in the rest of the provinces.

In the afternoon, it will be mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and generally cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain in some places in the hilly areas of Koshi province including Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and in a few places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.

It will be generally cloudy throughout the country at night. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall at some places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces, and one or two places in the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi province.

The division has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces as the monsoon remains active across the country.
