Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. The low pressure line of the monsoon is located around the Sardar location.

Due to which, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces are currently generally cloudy and the rest of the provinces are partially cloudy. Light rain is occurring in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

It will remain generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain with lightning in many places in the hilly areas of the country including Sudurpaschim Province and in a few places in the remaining Terai region.

Tonight, it will remain generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and partially cloudy in the Terai region. There is a possibility of moderate rain with lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of the country and in one or two places in the Terai region. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.

The Division has requested to adopt necessary precautions as there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.
