Kathmandu. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has stated that 78.84 percent paddy sowing has been completed across the country till Sunday this year.
According to the ministry, 80.39 percent paddy sowing has been completed in Koshi Province, 51.82 percent paddy sowing in Madhesh Province, and 87.19 percent paddy sowing has been completed in Bagmati Province.
Similarly, the ministry has stated that paddy sowing has been completed in 8.53 percent paddy sowing in Gandaki, 92.04 percent paddy sowing in Lumbini, 91.38 percent paddy sowing in Karnali Province, and 98.94 percent paddy sowing in Sudurpaschim Province.
Last year, paddy sowing was completed in 92.6 percent paddy sowing till 13th of Shrawan. This year, paddy sowing has been done in less area compared to last year due to lack of rain in some areas including Madhesh Province.
