Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. In addition, the low pressure line of the monsoon is located around the mean position.

According to the division, it is currently generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain is occurring at a few places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places in Lumbini province.

It will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly areas of the country including Gandaki, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places in the Terai region. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly regions of the country including Gandaki Province and a few places in the Terai region tonight. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places.

The Division has requested to adopt necessary precautions and get information about the latest weather information as there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in most parts of the country.
