Tea exports from Mechi Customs increased by 32 percent

Kathmandu. Tea exports from Mechi Customs Office have increased by 32.50 percent in the fiscal year 2081/82. According to the office’s data, tea worth 4.21 billion 3.592 million was exported.

Information Officer of Mechi Customs Office Ishwar Kumar Humagain informed that 15,416.756 metric tons of tea were exported in one year. He said that tea worth 3.17 billion 9.527 million was exported in 2080/81.

According to the office’s data, cardamom exports have decreased by 3.20 percent in 2081/82. Cardamom worth 7.67 billion 4.37 billion was exported during that one year. Cardamom worth 7.93 billion 9.90 billion was exported during the same period of the previous fiscal year 2080/81, information officer Humagain informed.

Goods worth 25.13 billion 97.50 million were exported from Mechi Bhansa in the last fiscal year 2081/82. (RSS)
