Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the effect of monsoon winds is currently weak across the country. The low pressure line of monsoon is located near the mean position.

Due to which, the hilly areas of the country are currently generally cloudy and the rest of the country is partially cloudy. Light rain is occurring in a few places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in one or two places in Koshi, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

It will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain with lightning in some places in the hilly areas of the country and in a few places in the Terai region. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. There is a possibility of windstorms in the Terai of Madhes province and Lumbini province.

It will remain generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with lightning in some places in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi and Sudurpaschim, and in a few places in the remaining Terai region. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

The Division has requested to adopt necessary precautions as there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
