Insurance Authority Chairman Sharad Ojha has been suspended from his post. He was suspended from his post after the Cabinet meeting held on Monday evening decided to form a committee to investigate him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Sub-section 3 of Section 12 of the Insurance Act, 2079, if an investigation committee is formed against the chairman or members, they will automatically be suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has formed a three-member committee led by former Justice Krishna Giri. The committee members are Kapildev Oli and Jeevan Prakash Sitaula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ojha is accused of using fake documents to get appointed as the chairman of the Insurance Authority. A writ has been filed in the Supreme Court in this regard, while the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority is also investigating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
