Kathmandu<\/strong> \u2013 Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stated that the republic is the embodiment of the Nepali people’s long and arduous struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Extending her greetings on the occasion of Republic Day through social media today, former President Bhandari said that the republic is a historic political achievement, and emphasized that it is the shared responsibility of all to protect, utilize, and develop it to build a prosperous Nepal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She called on everyone to play their part from their respective positions in upholding republican values, principles, and ideals at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “This political transformation has paved the way and encouraged the country\u2019s socio-economic development,” former President Bhandari said on social media. “Certain achievements have been made in education, health, information technology, and infrastructure development.
