Kathmandu : Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has emphasised the need to take maximum benefit from artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inaugurating a seminar on \u2018Indigenous Nationalities and Artificial Intelligence: Protecting Rights and Building the Future\u2019 organised by the Indigenous Nationalities Commission here today on the occasion of the 31st International Day of the World\u2019s Indigenous Peoples, he said those who have developed today through the use of AI have already benefited. But all countries in the world, rich or poor, can benefit the most from AI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stating that AI is currently being used in every process of development, Minister Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the government is working to increase its use in agriculture, health, education, good governance, tourism, industry and disaster management sectors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Calling for unity among the indigenous nationalities to ensure implementation of the constitutional, legal and policy-level rights, Minister Gurung said, \u201cAI is an opportunity for us, but if we do not know how to use it properly, the challenges will increase.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
