Due to continuous rains in the eastern hilly and Terai districts, the flow of water flowing through the Koshi Barrage has been fluctuating since Monday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of 6 am on Monday, the water flow was 175,685 cusecs per second, while the measurement taken at 8 pm was 175,685 cusecs per second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of 10 pm on Monday, the water flow was 179,740 cusecs per second, informed Armed Police Superintendent Nirmal Thapa. Currently, 19 of the 52 main and four canal gates have been opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the water flow exceeds 150,000 cusecs through the Koshi Barrage, a red light has been lit as a danger signal to alert the public. The Koshi Barrage Control Room has stated that the red light has been lit accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Bhadra 2, 2065, the Saptakoshi River breached its eastern embankment when it overflowed with 168,000 cusecs of water.
