Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. The low pressure line of the monsoon is located around the mean sea level in the west and slightly south of the mean sea level in the east.

Due to which, the weather is currently generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Madhes and Bagmati Provinces, while the rest of the country is mainly clear. Light to moderate rain is occurring in some places in Bagmati Province, a few places in Koshi Province, and one or two places in Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

It will be partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning in some places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and a few places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

It will be partly to generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning in some places in the hilly regions of the country including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in a few places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

The Division has requested to adopt necessary precautions as there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
