Grand Premiere of “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” Concludes, Praised by Director Ghimire and Actor Poudel

Kathmandu, Ashad 26 – The grand premiere of the patriotic Nepali film “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho,” dedicated to the Nepali language, literature, art, and nationalism, was successfully held on Wednesday evening at Big Movies in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. The film is set to release nationwide from Friday (Ashad 27).

The premiere was attended by filmmakers, journalists, security personnel, and individuals from various walks of life.

After watching the film, renowned director Tulsi Ghimire praised the effort, saying, “This film’s attempt to promote and preserve the Nepali language, literature, and art is commendable. It sends a powerful message of responsibility towards the Nepali language not only to the new generation but also to the current one.”

Veteran actor Rajaram Poudel stated that the film, filled with a strong sense of Nepali identity and patriotism, must be watched by every Nepali. Director Ashok Sharma also lauded the film and expressed confidence that it would win the hearts of the audience. Folk singer Jyoti Magar appreciated the film’s theme and echoed the sentiment that every Nepali should watch it.

Journalist Sushil Nepal, reflecting on his experience abroad, said the film tried to highlight the value of the Nepali language, literature, art, and the nation—something people often realize only when away from home. He also suggested that the government should exempt such films from taxes.

Prominent figures attending the premiere included journalist Tikaram Yatri, folk singer Badri Pangeni, singer Radhika Hamal, choreographer Kamal Rai, directors Rajendra Salabh and Rishi Lamichhane, former MP Mahendra Limbu, Armed Police Force AIG Banshiraj Dahal, producer Rajkumar Rai, president of the Artistes’ Association Mohan Niraula, president of the Directors’ Society Janakdeep Parajuli, president of the Technical Association Pushkar Lama, and comedian Dinesh Kafle. All of them emphasized that “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” is a film that should be watched by Nepalis around the world.

Lead actors Vijay Baral, Roshan Shrestha, Wilson Bikram Rai, Ayusha Samal, and Buddhi Tamang expressed their confidence that the positive response at the premiere indicated strong prospects for the film’s success.

Director Mitra Pradhan (Nar) said that the encouraging feedback from the premiere had boosted his morale. He emphasized that the film was truly made for the country and for the promotion of the Nepali language, literature, and art. He urged all Nepalis to visit the cinemas, watch the film, and share their feedback. Social worker and lyricist Pancham Tamang had even traveled from the USA to Nepal to attend the premiere.

Presented by Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” is directed by Mitra Pradhan (Nar) and produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan (Roshan). The cast also includes Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden “Mantri”, Subash Bhandari, Bijay Subba, Bijita Pariyar, Debraj Rajbanshi, and Bhanubhakta Sitaula.

The screenplay is written by Shivam Adhikari, with cinematography by Saurabh Lama, action direction by Dev Maharjan, VFX by Samir Miya, and CGI by Satyam Rana. The choreography is handled by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Pramod Bhandari, and editing is by Banesh Shah.

The film features music by Dipak Sharma, Bikash Chaudhary, and Thorompo Hyang Rai, with lyrics by Dipak Sharma, Wilson Bikram Rai, Shankar Adhikari Ghayal, and Anish Adhikari (for the Khaijadi song). Distribution is being handled by RR Films.
