Kathmandu : Minister for Home Affairs, Ramesh Lekhak, has urged everyone not to comment about government based on the speculation and imagination.
Responding to the queries of parliamentarians in today’s meeting of House of Representatives, Minister Lekhak further asserted that no one should criticize the government without sufficient in-depth information.
Lekhek explained, “When the Head of the Government visits abroad, it is the Council of Ministers that approves delegation accompanying the Head of the Government’s entourage. It would be easier for the government if the names of those in the delegation who do not return home were disclosed.”
“This is why there has been a false publicity about the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Spain,” he rued.
Furthermore, the Minister viewed that while raising concerns and queries inside and outside of the parliament, it should be raised only after obtaining detailed and verified information.
He remarked,” I have also heard that suspended Member of Parliament Rabi Lamichhane once went to the USA on visit visa. Going on the visit visa means travelling as a visitor. May I know whether he went to the USA on a visit visa or not?”
On a different note, he clarified that there was no any truth in the propaganda that the government misused security agencies by providing security protection to former parliamentarians, former ministers and those who may not be entitled to it.(RSS)
