Land-related bill to be passed in today’s House of Representatives meeting

Kathmandu. The meeting of the House of Representatives under the federal parliament is also being held on Wednesday. The meeting will be held at the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor at 1 pm.

The agenda of the meeting includes the presentation of the ‘Annual Report of the Women and Social Affairs Committee (A.Y. 2080-081)’ by Kiran Kumar Sah, Chairman of the Women and Social Affairs Committee.

Similarly, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Nabal Kishor Sah Sudi, will present the bill along with a proposal seeking permission to present the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2082.

The agenda of the meeting includes the presentation of a proposal by Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, to discuss the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082, clause-wise. The amendments received on the bill will be presented for decision. Minister Adhikari will propose that the bill be passed in the meeting.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire is scheduled to present a motion for a decision on the amendment made by the National Assembly to the First Amendment Bill on the Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Powers and Procedures).
