Rasuwa. The severe flood that occurred last night in the Lhende River on the Nepal-China border has washed away the Miteri Bridge in the border area.
Assistant Chief District Officer Dhruba Prasad Adhikari informed that the flood washed away vehicles kept in the customs office premises (yard) in Timure. He said that 11 rescue workers were trapped while going to rescue people in the customs area after the flood.
He also informed that the Nepal Army has been requested to rescue them by helicopter and that data is being collected on the extent of the damage caused by the flood. Similarly, the employees of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower have also been affected by the flood and are waiting for rescue, the project said. (RSS)
