Kathmandu. A total lunar eclipse (a total eclipse) occurred on Sunday night on the day of Bhadra Shukla Purnima. According to the Nepal Panchang Nirikh Bikash Samiti, the eclipse touched at 10:11 pm on Sunday. The eclipse reached its peak at 11:56 pm and ended at 1:41 pm.
Committee Chairman Prof. Shambhu Prasad Dhakal informed that the lunar eclipse was visible from Kathmandu for three and a half hours.
He also said that the lunar eclipse touched from the east and southeast in Nepal at 10:11 am and ended from the southwest and west at 1:41 am.
A total lunar eclipse is a lunar eclipse when the Earth completely blocks the sun and covers the moon. A lunar eclipse is when the Earth, the sun and the moon fall in the same line and the Earth’s shadow falls on the moon.
This eclipse is the first eclipse of 2082 BS that can be seen from Nepal. The committee has stated that a partial lunar eclipse will occur on the upcoming full moon day of Falgun this year as well. Lunar eclipses and solar eclipses occur on the full moon day and the full moon day of Aunsi. (RSS)
