Kathmandu. Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan has returned home at midnight after completing a three-day official visit to Nepal. She is visiting Nepal at the friendly invitation of Vice President Ram Sahai Prasad Yadav.

Vice President Xuan was seen off today at the VIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai.

On the occasion, distinguished officials of the Nepalese government, security agencies and other dignitaries were present. Similarly, Vice President Xuan inspected the guard of honor provided by the Nepali Army in her honor.

Vice President Xuan, who visited Nepal on Bhadra 20, had a courtesy call on President Ram Chandra Poudel today. Similarly, she had a delegation-level meeting with Vice President Ram Sahai Prasad Yadav. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Foreign Minister Dr. Vice President Suan also met with Arzu Rana Deuba.

This is the first high-level visit to Nepal from Vietnam. This visit is considered to be of special importance as this year also marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam. (RSS)
