This afternoon: It will be generally cloudy (cloudy throughout the sky). There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and a few places in the rest of the Terai region. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and a few places in the Terai and hilly areas of Lumbini Province.

Tonight: It will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and partly cloudy in the rest of the places. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some places in the hilly areas of the country and a few places in the Terai region. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

According to the Meteorological Division, the low pressure line of the monsoon is currently around the Sardar location.

The Meteorological Department uses the word ‘day’ here for the entire day, i.e. before 6 pm, and the word ‘night’ for the entire night, i.e. from 6 pm to 6 am the next day.

According to meteorologists, less than 10 millimeters of rain falling within 24 hours is called light rain, 10 to 50 millimeters of rain falling is called moderate rain.

And 50 to 100 millimeters of rain falling is called heavy rain, 100 to 200 millimeters of rain falling is called very heavy rain, and 200 millimeters of rain falling is called extremely heavy rain.

Similarly, rain in one or two places means that there is a possibility of rain in less than 10 percent of the area in any place in the respective province.

If there is a possibility of rain in an area of ​​10 percent to 30 percent, it is said that there may be rain in a few places.

Similarly, if there is a possibility of rain in an area of ​​30 percent to 50 percent, it is said that there may be rain in some places.

Similarly, if there is a chance of rain in 50 percent to 80 percent of the area, it is said that it may rain in many places.

If there is a chance of rain in more than 80 percent of the area, it is said that it may rain in most places.
