Kathmandu. 26 political parties have been registered with the Election Commission for the by-election to be held in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3 on Kartik 17.

Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Nita Pokharel Aryal informed that out of the 27 political parties that came for party registration, 26 parties that completed the legal formalities have been registered as per the decision of the Commission on Monday. According to her, the parties have been registered for the by-election as per Article 271 of the Constitution of Nepal and Section 48 of the Political Parties Act, 2073.

The Commission has stated that the Mongolian National Organization was the first to register. Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Nepali Party for Nepal, Janamat Party, Rastriya Mukti Andolan Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepali Congress, Rastriya Janamorcha, CPN Maoist Center, Janaprajatantrik Party Nepal, and CPN UML have been registered.

In addition, the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) (Pushpalal), United Citizens Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nepal Socialist Party (New Power), CPN (ML), Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, National Republic Nepal, Rastriya Matrubhumi Party, Nepali Janata Dal have been registered.

Similarly, the National Realist Party, Nepal, National Independence Party, Nepal Janmukti Party, Hamro Nepali Party, Bahujan Shakti Party, Khambuwan Rastriya Morcha, Nepal have been registered for the by-election, the commission has stated.

The commission has announced the schedule for the by-election and set the date for candidate nomination registration as Asoj 21.
