Kathmandu. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has invited Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to visit India. A Foreign Ministry source has confirmed that the formal invitation letter for the visit to India sent by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was handed over to Oli.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs of India have not made Prime Minister Oli’s visit to India public. Both countries are making informal preparations for Prime Minister Oli to visit India on Bhadra 16.
Foreign Secretary Misri, who arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Oli at Singha Durbar. Foreign Secretary Misri has come to Nepal on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Foreign Ministry Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Oli is going to China on a four-day visit before that. The ministry has stated that he is going to China on Bhadra 14 to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. Oli will go to India immediately after returning from China.
