Kathmandu. The Patan High Court has ordered the release of B&C Medical College owner and royalist activist Durga Prasai on bail.
A joint bench of Justices Tanka Prasad Gurung and Dilli Ratna Shrestha has ordered the release of Prasai on bail, reversing the Kathmandu District Court’s earlier order to remand him.
The court has ordered the release of Prasai, who was the main leader of the royalist protest that took place in Tinkune, Kathmandu on Chaitra 15, 2001, on a bail of three hundred thousand rupees.
The District Police Range, Kathmandu, had filed five different cases against Prasai, including one for crimes against the state, through the District Public Prosecutor’s Office.
