Kathmandu. Today, the third Monday of Shrawan, devotees have thronged Pashupatinath and other Shiva temples across the country since morning.
For the convenience of devotees, the Pashupati Area Development Fund has opened all four doors of the Pashupatinath Temple since 3 am today.
Thousands of devotees are still waiting in line in the Pashupati area for worship, worship and darshan.
Since the month of Shrawan and Monday are the favorite months and days of Lord Shiva, there is a tradition since Vedic times to worship and worship at Shiva temples. This year, four Mondays fall in the month of Shrawan.
Another attraction of the month of Shrawan is the Bolbam Yatra. Shiva devotees wear yellow clothes and walk barefoot to have darshan of Pashupatinath.
Devotees have also flocked to the Mahadev temples in the Kathmandu Valley, including Gokarneshwor, Nageshwor, Doleshwor, and Makhan Mahadev, also known as Sano Pashupatinath in Basantapur.
