Kathmandu. 47 Nepali women going to Kuwait on visit visas have been returned to Nepal from the international airport in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
The women who were going to Kuwait from Delhi airport without an NOC were taken into custody in coordination with the Nepali Embassy in Delhi and taken to Rupandehi by land on Thursday night.
A team of embassy staff including Senior Superintendent of Police Prakash Malla working at the Nepali Embassy in Delhi took the women to Rupandehi via the Sunauli border crossing and handed them over to the administration, informed Rupandehi Chief District Officer Vasudev Ghimire. According to Praji Ghimire, the women are now being brought to Kathmandu by the police.
Similarly, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has directed the police to conduct a strict investigation into the arrested women. The Home Ministry has stated that Home Minister Lekhak has directed the Human Trafficking Bureau to conduct a necessary investigation into the matter and bring the culprits to justice.
Minister Lekhak has directed to conduct a thorough investigation into the issue of illegal foreign employment. (RSS)
